He did NOT say that out loud! December 2, 2005

Actually, yes he did, and he said it over the radio.

As you all know Burch has managed to piss off everyone equally when he decided to label a caller to his talk show a “UBP Hous N….er”.

I felt compelled to write the following letter to the editor about this….

Mr. Editor,
Thanks again for permitting me space in your newspaper.

How enlightening the PLP has been for us, truly a Sesame Street experience in all senses of the word. First we learn” Crap” from “P” and now the “N” word by Burch (I along with many other people refuse to use this word).

I always thought that this was supposed to be a censored word on the airwaves. Apparently Burch can say what he wishes as he pointed out, not unlike a two year old might I add, “This is my Show….”, at which point he hung up on the caller..

Going back a few years, while in the regiment, I distinctly recalled hearing the regiment’s policy on race relations was “We only see one colour here, and it’s green”. This was while Burch was the CO. I guess that even back then Burch was full of crap.

What’s amazing is that “P” has the nerve to say the UBP are being divisive. In the last 7 years, the PLP have proven that they have the monopoly on racial politics and divisiveness with comments such as “N”, “People who look like me”, ‘Back to the plantation” and “People who look and sound like Brannon”, to name a few. I might suggest that “P” turn around and take a look at his own party. How are comments such as these supposed to bring about racial harmony? How can a party be for racial harmony, when they don’t even promote it in their own ranks? Where are the white people in the PLP? Where are the “Others”? I hear so much about institutionalized discrimination, and this is the first organization I’ve seen which fits the bill. To quote Myra Virgil of Cure “”if you look around, and everyone around you looks and sounds the same as you, then you or your organisation is practicing some form of institutional discrimination.”. Shouldn’t CURE look into the PLP then?

PLP members who make discriminatory comments against black members of the UBP, simply for being black and in the UBP amaze me. Apparently you not only have to look like them, but sound like them, act like them and believe in the same things they do. “P” defends Burch, Wayne Perinchief goes even further and suddenly throws the blame on any who isn’t black voting against independence is obviously racist. Talk about your stretches, I guess he’s using the BS baffles brains theory here. They, by their own comments have shown me that they have turned into exactly what their forefathers have fought against. And so the cycle continues.

As for Burch’s talk show, let him stay on the air. As we all know, a closed mouth gathers no feet, a mouth like his could give Boyles a run for their money. Just remember that empty vessels make the most noise.

This comment has been brought to you by the letter “P”, “N”, the number “0”, oh yeah and Crap.
