Fast Ferries August 19, 2006
Yesterday was my company’s Fun Summer Staff Appreciation day. The plan of action was to hop on the ferry, head up to Dockyard, grab lunch and then hang out at Frog and Onion for the rest of the afternoon.
This was my first time on the fast ferries, and I certainly hope it wouldn’t be my last. What would have normally taken about 40 minutes (without traffic) to get to Dockyard, only took 12. The ride was comfortable and enjoyable and it’s an excellent way to travel. I could easily say that if I lived in Somerset, and had a desk job, this would happily be my primary way to work. All in all, well worth the money spent on them. Now if they could only get them to run at night time so people wouldn’t have to rely on Taxi’s.
