Town, post smoking ban November 19, 2006
I.B. JMC wrote something in the squawk box which reminded me of something. This weekend, I ventured out into town for the first time since the smoking ban took effect. After dinner and several hours in one of the night clubs with our friends, I noticed something was missing when we got home; the lack of smoke clinging to every part of my body and clothing. Waking up tired (Ok read slight hangover) is bad enough, but having to smell the smoke still on your body after a night out on the town was awful.
I for one am grateful that the ban has taken effect, and quite frankly it was about bloody time.
