Dazzling Display from the Heavens tonight December 13, 2006

For those of you who are into star gazing, there is supposed to be a large meteor shower tonight, with as many as 60 -120 sightings in an hour. So tonight, after traveling around looking at the Christmas lights, turn your peepers heaven bound and see another dazzling light show.

The weather man sez: Partly Cloudy and cold! Take a blanket.

Did anyone see this? In a sign of old age, I managed to fall asleep. :(

I saw a couple - nothing too spectacular as visibility wasn’t the greatest. Cleared up a bit, but by that time old age was kicking in as well and I dragged myself off to bed.

Seems to be that everytime there is something like this one, the weather man doesn’t cooperate. :(

Well, I’m gong to see if Santa brings a camera this Christmas, with it I’ll take some snap shots through my telescope and post them here when we’re past the Christmas season.
