The baby food famine May 13, 2007
Has anyone else been completely pissed off at the fact that there was a complete dry up of most brands of baby food for over a month? The shelves only just got stocked last Thursday. I spoke to a few managers during this dry spell only to find that all of the stores get all of their baby formula from the same place, BGA. The grocery stores attempted to compensate by bringing in formula in liquid form, which unfortunantly was much more expensive and didn’t stretch nearly as long. The only other alternative was a soy formula which not many people use.
It boggles my mind how you can run out of somehing as important as this. It’s not like you have a lot of choice on what you can feed your baby, nor is it good to keep switching up formulas. This isnLt the first time this has happened either. Here’s a hint for grocery stores and food agents, if you see your stock getting low, you may want to think about reordering some more!
