This weeks poll: Belco’s Power Problems November 18, 2007
This weeks poll is about BELCO’s announcement that they have applied for permission to increase capacity onsite, much to the chargrin of the local residents.
Personally I do not see why legislation is not in place to slap a solar panel on each and every rooftop to feed into the main electrical supply. With Bermuda experiencing a minimum of 340 days of sunshine a year, it’s crazy that this isn’t done. Overall gains would be lower electrical costs and less polution from BELCO. With forward thinking like this, BELCO wouldn’t have such a demand to increase capacity as often.
But that’s just me, you can voice your opinion in the comments section and vote on the poll here
