Bias November 30, 2007
Laverne Furbert is in the paper again screaming about how biased the Royal Gazette is towards the PLP. Ironically enough her letter to the editor is published for all to see in the same paper she’s winging about. It would appear that the PLP are happy to link to the Royal Gazette stories on their blog but only denounce the paper when it says something bad about the PLP. It comes to mind that may be if you don’t want your dirty laundry aired, you should get it cleaned. Any national news paper is charged with presenting all sides of the story to the public, both good and bad. I fail to see how the Royal Gazette hasn’t been doing this as I see articles in there criticising both parties.
Irony also comes into play when one takes into account that Laverne Furbert writes for The Workers Voice, which is unarguably extremely pro-PLP. I wonder if I were to submit any pro-UBP initiatives in it, if it would get published? I won’t hold my breath.
